Data Entry Associate

The Data Entry Associate plays a key role in the success of an evolving Development team by accurately and efficiently entering and updating information in the donor database. This includes, but is not limited to, entering and acknowledging all gifts received by Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio PAC, and Planned Parenthood Votes Ohio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Accurately enters financial donations in Raiser’s Edge database daily.
  • Accurately processes donor acknowledgement letters in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with Database Manager and Development Associate to track source documents and maintain files of completed data entry and acknowledgements.
  • Collaborates with Database Manager on monthly financial reconciliation.  
  • Maintains the quality of data, including donor information, in the database.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned to support Development.
  • Completes required training and attends staff meetings.




  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and organize for maximum efficiency is required.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail both independently and collaboratively to accomplish goals in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with data entry and Raiser’s Edge or another donor database preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Innovative, passionate, and professional individuals with a sense of humor are preferred.


Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years related work experience.


Level One: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively 1:1 with co-workers, internal and external customers, and outside contractors and vendors.


Level One: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


Level Two: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical capabilities to continuously talk and hear, handle, and grasp.  Frequently requires the ability to sit, and bend, stand, and walk.  May occasionally require stooping, crawling, fingering, reaching, feeling, and repetitive motions of the hands and wrists. Rarely requires kneeling, climbing and repetition of the feet.  May require lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds.  Requires the ability to operate a computer, including keyboard, telephone. Regularly requires work in excess of 7.5 hours per day and/or 37.5 hours per week.
